2000 Rupee Note Exchange: The Reserve Bank of India had announced the withdrawal of Rs 2,000 note from circulation on May 19, 2023. After this, RBI urged the citizens to return their old Rs 2,000 notes by September 30, 2023. Now the deadline to exchange 2000 rupee notes is coming to an end. Today is 31st August. In such a situation, if you have not yet changed the Rs 2000 note, then complete this work today itself, otherwise you may have to face big problems later.

For the convenience of the people, the Reserve Bank has fixed the time till September 30, 2023 for changing the Rs 2000 note. In such a situation, common people have got four months time so that they can easily go to banks and exchange their old notes. If you have not done this work yet, then we are telling you how you can go and exchange the Rs 2000 note.
Know the complete process of how to change Rs 2000 note-
1. If you have a note of Rs 2000, then go to the nearest branch of your bank with it.
2. After this you fill a slip to exchange the note and submit it.
3. Keep in mind that RBI has given freedom to banks to decide their own rules for exchanging the Rs 2,000 note.
4. Keep in mind that the Reserve Bank has given the facility to people to exchange up to Rs 20,000 i.e. 10 notes at a time.

Keep in mind that September, 2023 is full of holidays in banks. Next month, banks will remain closed for 16 days in different states of the country. This includes the holidays of Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, second fourth Saturday, Sunday etc.
3 September 2023- Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
6 September 2023- Due to Shri Krishna Janmashtami, there will be bank holiday in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Patna.
September 7, 2023- Due to Shri Krishna Janmashtami, there will be a bank holiday in Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Raipur, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Telangana, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla and Srinagar.
September 9, 2023- Second Saturday
September 10, 2023- Sunday
September 17, 2023- Sunday
September 18, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru, Telangana due to Vinayaka Chaturthi.
September 19, 2023- Due to Ganesh Chaturthi, there will be bank holiday in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji.
September 20, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Bhubaneswar due to Ganesh Chaturthi and Nuakhai.
September 22, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Kochi, Panaji and Trivandrum on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.
September 23, 2023- Fourth Saturday
September 24, 2023- Sunday
September 25, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Guwahati due to the birth anniversary of Shrimant Sankardeva.
September 27, 2023- Banks will be closed in Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar and Trivandrum due to Milad-e-Sharif.
September 28, 2023- Due to Eid-e-Milad, banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Dehradun, Telangana, Imphal, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi.
September 29, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Gangtok, Jammu and Srinagar due to Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
