2000 Rupee Note Holders Alert! Know these rules of SBI, HDFC, ICICI Bank before depositing Rs 2000 notes

2000 Rupee Note: From May 23 to September 30, the RBI has given instructions to change or deposit 2000 notes in banks. What are the rules of different banks regarding this? Let’s find out.

2000 Rupee Note Exchange Rule: After the closure of 2000 rupee note by RBI, the process of withdrawing it started from May 23. People have started coming to the banks regarding this. Between May 23 and September 30, the RBI had given instructions to go to the bank to exchange Rs 2,000 notes. There are many questions in the minds of people regarding the exchange of notes in banks. Today we will tell you what are the rules of different banks for changing 2000 rupee notes.

State Bank of India (SBI)

SBI has told that people do not need to show any kind of identity card or fill a slip to exchange 2000 rupee notes up to 20 thousand rupees at any branch of SBI.

HDFC Bank

From May 23 to September 30, customers can deposit Rs 2000 notes in their HDFC Bank account. 2000 rupees notes up to 20 thousand rupees can be changed in this bank in a day.

ICICI Bank

Customers can deposit Rs 2000 notes in any ICICI Bank branch or at the bank’s cash deposit machine. Senior citizens can use the doorstep banking services of ICICI Bank. There is no fixed limit for depositing Rs 2000 notes in this bank. Along with this, no charge will be levied on this process till 30th September.

Canara Bank

On depositing Rs 2000 note in Canara Bank, no charge will be levied on cash remittance. The bank gave this information through its official Twitter account.

Punjab National Bank

No ID proof of any kind will be required to exchange Rs 2,000 notes up to Rs 20,000 in PNB. PNB instructed all its branches not to fill Aadhaar card, any official document or any form regarding the exchange of notes.
