UP Government Employees Salary: After the announcement of four percent increase in dearness allowance of central employees, Yogi Adityanath government in UP is also preparing to soon issue orders for payment of dearness allowance at increased rate to lakhs of its employees. A file related to this will be prepared on Monday.
After getting the approval of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the salary for the month of March which will be paid in April along with the order for cash payment of increased DA is expected to be issued. Employees will get the benefit of this increase from January 2024. There will be an additional burden of about Rs 314 crore on the exchequer every month.
Dearness relief of 12 lakh pensioners will also increase
If the state government announces the increased rate of dearness allowance, the salary of about 10 lakh state employees and eight lakh teachers will increase. There will also be an increase of four percent in the dearness relief of 12 lakh pensioners.
