7th Pay Commission: CM informed that 23,075 personnel have been promoted on various non-gazetted posts of the department.
7th Pay Commission: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while announcing a 25 percent increase in the nutritious diet allowance of policemen in the state, said on Thursday that the government has also decided to increase the SIM allowance of these personnel. A spokesman of the state government said that on the occasion of ‘Police Commemoration Day’, the Chief Minister announced a 25 per cent increase in the nutritious food allowance for Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Chief Constable, Constable and Class IV personnel. He said that the state government has also decided to increase the mobile SIM allowance.
In order to maintain law and order and peace in the state, to effectively curb various incidents and reach the spot at the earliest, the Chief Minister made available mobile sims to the personnel including constable, chief constable and sub-inspector posted on field duty of the police. And announced a SIM allowance of Rs 2,000 a year to all these workers.
Yogi paid tribute to the policemen who lost their lives in the line of duty. He took the salute of the parade organized on the occasion. He expressed confidence that all the members of the State Police would cooperate in further strengthening the sense of security in the minds of the people of Uttar Pradesh by working with full honesty, devotion to duty and public service.
While assuring the families of the martyred police personnel of the state, Chief Minister Yogi said that the state government would always be ready to take all necessary steps for their welfare with full sensitivity. The CM said that the police personnel, while performing their duty, got corona infected, yet they continued to do service work. 37 police personnel died due to corona infection while performing duty. 18 crore 50 lakh has been paid to their dependents through the appointment of the deceased police personnel through the district magistrate.
Yogi said that 23,075 personnel have been promoted to various non-gazetted posts of the Police Department. Proposal has been sent to Police Recruitment and Promotion Board for direct recruitment to 829 posts of sub-inspector and 26,744 posts of constable.
The Chief Minister said that the present government is working under the policy of ‘Zero Tolerance’ towards crime and criminals. As a result of this, a total of 151 criminals were killed in encounters and 3,473 were injured during the period 20 March 2017 to 10 October 2021 during action against criminals in various districts. In these actions, 13 police personnel lost their lives and 1,198 police personnel were injured.
