7th Pay Commission: The Union Cabinet has announced to give bumper bonus of Diwali to railway employees. According to the decision taken in the union cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, non-gazetted railway employees have announced the day’s salary as bonus.
Railway employees got Diwali gift
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, “The Union Cabinet has approved Productivity Linked Bonus equivalent to 78 days’ salary to eligible non-gazetted railway employees (except RPF/RPSF employees) for the financial year 2020-21. Granted. About 11.56 lakh non-gazetted railway employees are likely to benefit from this decision.”

This is the maximum bonus you will get
This bonus of 78 days to railway employees is estimated to cost the government about Rs 1984.73 crore. The prescribed salary calculation limit for PLB payment to eligible railway employees is Rs 7000 per month. For this the maximum limit of 78 days bonus is Rs 17,951.
Railway employees are paid PLB every year before Dussehra/Puja. This decision of the cabinet will be implemented this year also before the festive holidays.
