The way for the promotion of the employees of Indian Railways has been cleared. The Ministry of Railways has said that those whose promotion has been stopped, they should be promoted immediately. Their name should be selected and sent to the department so that they can be promoted and incremented. Railways said that those who have got promotion before June 30, 2021, will get annual increment from January 1, 2022. If there is a delay in promotion, then the benefit of increment will also not be available on time.
Let us inform that NFIR, the union of railway employees, had raised this issue with the Ministry of Railways. NFIR had said that there are many such posts in Zonal Railways and Production Units, which are lying vacant due to lack of promotion. Due to this, railway employees are not getting all the benefits on time.
Highest promotion in two years
On this letter of the association, the Railway Ministry took cognizance and issued an order that the employees who have been left out from promotion, should be given its benefit at the earliest. In the meeting held in April 2021, it was revealed that despite Covid, the Railways gave maximum promotions in the last two years. However, if some people are left out, then their names should be sent after reviewing them.
Path clear for dearness allowance
Earlier, another big news had come for the railway employees. That is that the government has agreed to remove the ban on the increase in Dearness Allowance, DA and Dearness relief of central employees. With this, central employees and pensioners will get increased DA in the salary of September. The National Council (Staff side) has also issued a letter in this regard.
Discussion took place at 28 points
In the letter issued by Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary, Staff Side of NC/JCM, it has been told that in the meeting with the Cabinet Secretary on June 26, 2021, many major decisions were taken in the interest of Central employees and pensioners. Among them, there was also discussion on increasing the freeze DA for one and a half years. Altogether 28 issues have been discussed with the Cabinet Secretary.
