Not only this, the corporation has also announced to distribute bonus from Rs 2500 to Rs 5000 as a Diwali gift. To compensate for this financial burden, the corporation has increased the fare on many routes. The minimum ticket has been increased by Rs. The Corporation’s Vice President Shekhar Channe said that the bus service of the Corporation has been greatly affected due to the Covid Mahamari. The corporation is expected to generate an additional income of Rs 50 crore from the hike in rent.
He said that the corporation has a fleet of 16,000 buses. The rise in oil and tire prices has put a new financial burden on MSRTC. So it was decided to increase the fare. With this increase, DA and DR have gone up to 31 percent.
On the other hand, SAIL employees have also got salary hike. An agreement was reached between the management and the workers’ unions in the meeting of the National Joint Committee for Steel. Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) leader Rajendra Singh said that according to the new agreement, it has been agreed to give 26.05 percent perks (salary allowance) to all the employees of SAIL. With this agreement, more than 70 thousand workers working in various plants and units of SAIL across the country can get a monthly benefit of six to ten thousand rupees.
