Actually, DA scores will be released on 31 May 2023 i.e. the numbers of AICPI index will come. In such a situation, it will be known that how much dearness allowance is going to be increased in July. At present the dearness allowance is 42 per cent, which is applicable from January 2023. If DA increases by 4 percent, then the dearness allowance will be 46 percent.
How much DA can increase
Right now the DA score is 44.46 per cent and the score from April to June is yet to come. At the same time, for the last three times, the central government is increasing the dearness allowance of the employees by 4 percent. In such a situation, it is expected that this time also there will be an increase of 4 percent in the DA of the employees.
According to media reports, if we look at the figures of AICPI index, in December the index was at 132.3 points and the dearness allowance score was 42.37 percent. In March 2023, the AICPI index was at 133.3, due to which the dearness allowance score has gone up to 44.46 per cent. In such a situation, it is expected that the total increase can be of 4 percent.
When and how much dearness allowance increased
Under the Seventh Pay Commission, the dearness allowance of the employees has been increased twice a year. For January 2023, the dearness allowance was increased by 4 per cent and twice before that by 4-4 per cent.
States also increased dearness allowance
After increasing the DA by the central government, many states including Rajasthan, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar have increased the dearness allowance.
