The Central Government has extended the time limit for pay fixation. This will give the employees a chance to complete their work in the given time. This will benefit their increments.
Central Government Employees are in trouble over the increase in dearness allowance. Because this time they will get DA or more, it has not been decided yet. However, the government has definitely given relief to the employees by extending the pay fixation ‘pay fixation’ time limit to 3 months. This will increase their salary.
The deadline for ‘pay fixation’ has been extended for three months from April 15, according to a memorandum issued by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance. This will be based on the newly revised pay rules from the Labor Department. This will affect the salary according to the seventh pay commission of the employees. With the increase in basic, the employees will get the next salary increase.
Center employees got the option
The central employees had appealed to increase the pay fixation deadline, as they were not crossing it in the given time. In such a situation, the central government has increased the deadline by giving relief to them. This will also give them two options. Under which they will be able to choose whether they want fixed payment based on the date of promotion or on the date of increment.
What is ‘Pay Fixation’
Government employees receive an annual increase in salary on 1 January or 1 July depending on the date of their appointment, promotion or financial upgradation. The option that the employee selects under Pay Fixation benefits on that basis. In the first 10, 20 and 30 years, employees used to get promotions automatically. Assured Career Progression (ACP) was the plan at that time. Later in 7th Pay Commission, it was changed to Assured Career Progression Scheme i.e. MACPS. There will be no annual appraisal or increment of such central employees, whose performance is not good.
