The government has extended the deadline for claiming applications for Traveling Allowance (TA) on retirement. Now retired employees can claim TA within 180 days instead of 60. The counting of days will be valid from the day the journey ends.
However, the Center announced that the deadline for submission of applications for TA claim on tour, transfer and training would remain 60 days. This was announced by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.

According to the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, many suggestions were being received continuously, after which this decision has been taken. This new rule is valid from 15 June.
