7th Pay Commission: A new update has come out regarding 18 months DA (Dearness Allowance) arrears of central employees and pensioners. This dues can be released to the employees. This DA dues is from January 2020 to June 2021. If the ministry increases it, then a big increase can be seen in the employees’ salary.

In fact, Mukesh Singh, General Secretary of Bharatiya Immunity Mazdoor Sangh, has written a letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and said that the allowance withheld from government employees and retired people during the pandemic should now be returned. He emphasized their contribution during Covid-19 and their role in supporting the country’s efforts.

Discussion regarding 18 months DA

It is written in the proposal that on January 25, the arrears of Dearness Allowance (DA) to the central government employees and pensioners have been discussed in detail. These dues relate to the 18-month period during which DA and dearness relief (DR) payments were suspended due to financial stress in the pandemic.

His unwavering dedication and hard work was instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of essential services and supporting the nation’s fight. He said that he requests to release the three installments that were stopped during Covid in the upcoming budget.

Payment of dues not possible

After the country’s financial condition improved, Minister of State in the Finance Ministry, Pankaj Choudhary, had earlier indicated that it was not considered possible to pay the dues from the challenging financial year 2020-21 due to negative.

How much can dearness allowance increase?

It is noteworthy that the Central Government is currently giving 46 percent dearness allowance to employees and pensioners under the 7th Pay Commission.
