This is the reason why the government has increased concessions and incentives for central government employees working in Kashmir Valley. The central government has extended this package and concession for three years. Know here what concessions will be given to central employees working in Jammu Valley.
People working here in Kashmir will get package
According to the order, central government employees working in these 10 districts – Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, Srinagar, Kulgam, Shopian, Ganderbal and Bandipora – will be able to avail this facility. The ministry said that this incentive will be applicable for the next three years from August 1, 2024.

Everyone will get the same facility
This incentive package will be equally applicable to all ministries, departments and public sector undertakings (PSUs) of the Government of India. The order also said that the concerned departments will have to ensure strict compliance of the facilities provided under this scheme.
Employees will benefit
Apart from this, pensioners living in the valley who are unable to take their pension through banks or treasuries have been given special exemption. Now they will be able to get pension outside the Kashmir Valley or where they are settled. This step of the government is being considered an important decision towards improving the facilities of government employees in the Kashmir Valley and giving them a safe environment.

Facility of transfer and allowance to central government employees
The central government has given the option to the employees posted in the Kashmir Valley to take their families to any chosen place in India at government expense. This permanent transfer will include transport allowance and transfer grant of 80% of the basic salary of the previous month. At the same time, employees who do not send their families out will be given a daily allowance of Rs 141 for every working day. However, employees who take transfer grant will not be eligible for daily allowance. Messing allowance will also be given like Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel, which is currently fixed at Rs 142.75 per day.
