The central government may increase the Dearness Allowance for central employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners before Diwali 2021. If this happens, about 1 crore central employees and pensioners will get direct benefit. The government may increase Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) from 28 percent to 31 percent before Diwali.
28 percent was done DA
According to media reports, the central government had frozen dearness allowance last year till June 2021 due to the corona pandemic. However, recently the DA was increased by the government. It was increased from 17 per cent to 28 per cent.
There is a possibility of a 3 percent increase. If this happens, the DA of the employees will increase from 28 percent to 31 percent. The dearness allowance has increased by 11 percent as compared to last year. In July, it was increased to 28 per cent. Now if it is increased to 31 percent, then an employee with a basic salary of Rs 56900 will get Rs 17,639 as DA per month. Whereas, about Rs 2.11 lakh will be available as annual DA.
At the same time, the central employees are also continuously demanding to increase the dearness allowance. It is being speculated in the media reports that by Diwali, the Modi government can fulfill this demand of the central employees.

according to the 7th Pay Commission Matrix, the salary of level 1 of central employees ranges from Rs 18 thousand to Rs 56900. In the event of dearness allowance being 31 percent, Rs 66960 will be available as annual dearness allowance on the basic salary of 18 thousand. Let us tell you that dearness allowance is a part of the basic salary, which the government gives to its employees to reduce the effect of inflation in the country. At the same time, pensioners are given this benefit in the form of Dearness Relief (DR).
