Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given a big gift to the employees of his state regarding DA. He announced the release of 4% pending dearness allowance (DA) from January 1, 2023 for 1.80 lakh government employees and 1.70 lakh pensioners. This announcement of the state government will put a burden of Rs 600 crore per year on the treasury.
Salary will be paid on October 28
Apart from this, in view of the Diwali festival, the Chief Minister also announced that employees and pensioners will get their salary and pension on October 28 instead of November 1 and 9 respectively. Along with this, Sukhu also announced the approval of all pending medical bills of employees and retirees, for which a provision of Rs 10 crore has already been made.
The CM also announced payment of the entire amount of pending arrears to all pensioners above the age of 75 years. Sukhu said a total of Rs 202 crore will be spent on salary and pension arrears this financial year. The Chief Minister also announced the release of an additional installment of Rs 20,000 of arrears currently pending for Class IV government employees.
