Employee in constant touch with Ministry of Finance
Employees of Joint Consultative Machinery for Central Government Employees are in constant touch with the Ministry of Finance. Negotiations between them were scheduled on 8 May, but due to Corona, the meeting has been postponed. Employees say that Dearness allowance is part of salary. According to the court order, this Entitlement cannot be stopped.
Government should increase DA in July
Shivgopal Mishra, Secretary of JCM’s National Council (Staff side) and AIRF General Secretary, is talking to the government about this. There has been a round of talks in February. RK Nigam, general secretary of the State Employees Joint Council of Uttar Pradesh, said that the government should increase DA in July. But our demand is that the government should also give us one and a half year Arrear. Because the Supreme Court is ruling that salary and allowance is the Entitelment of the employee, it cannot be stopped. Therefore, the government should also give Arrear.
17% DA to central employees
Explain that central employees are getting 17% DA. It was increased to 21% in 2019. But due to Corona, the increase was frozen until June 2021. Shiv Gopal Mishra said that the government is ready to issue DA. But arrears have to be given as well. Dearness allowance is part of salary and dearness relief pension. The government has arrears of 18 months.
DA may increase up to 32 percent
Allied staff organizations say that the DA amount should increase by 24 per cent in June 2020, 28 per cent in December 2020 and 32 per cent in July 21.
