Jammu and Kashmir administration constituted STF
A Special Task Force (STF) has been constituted by the Jammu and Kashmir administration. The STF has the right to take action against any employee who is suspected to be involved in activities against the ‘security of the state’. That is, STF can remove any employee on the basis of doubt.
According to the news published in ‘The Indian Express’, STF has been constituted only under Article 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution. Under this Article, any employee can be dismissed from the job without constituting an inquiry committee.
The government has power under this article. In such a situation, the STF constituted in Jammu and Kashmir would record such employees who are suspected to be involved in activities against the ‘security of the state’.
