Four percent dearness allowance expected to increase

Those in pay band 5400 will get DA of Rs 14,053.
If the figure of AICPI index for May and June also comes to 134.8, then dearness allowance is sure to increase to 46 percent. Now if you talk about the impact of DA hike on Pay Band 5400, then there is a difference of Rs 14,664 in annual salary. The basic salary of pay band 5400 is Rs 30,550, according to which the annual dearness allowance at 42 percent is Rs 1,53,972. But if it increases by 4 percent, then it will increase to Rs 14,053 every month. Accordingly, the annual dearness allowance is Rs 1,68,636.
That is, employees with a pay band of Rs 5400 will get an annual benefit of Rs 14,664. At present, the employees are getting dearness allowance of Rs 12,831 every month, which is going to increase to Rs 14,053.
