The state government has announced an increase in dearness allowance of employees and pensioners. The DA of employees receiving salary/pension in the sixth pay scale has been increased by 9%.
DA Hike: Bihar State Government has given a big gift to employees and pensioners. On Friday, CM Nitish Kumar has approved a total of 48 agendas. He has taken many big decisions in the interest of employees. It has also been announced to increase the DA of government servants, pensioners and family pensioners. Employees and pensioners receiving salary and pension in the Sixth Central Pay Scale and Fifth Central Pay Scale will get increased salary/pension.
They will get the benefit of 9% more DA
The dearness allowance of employees and pensioners receiving salary in the Sixth Central Pay Scale has been increased by 9%. With effect from January 1, 2024, employees and pensioners will get the benefit of 239% dearness allowance instead of 230%.
16% increase in dearness allowance of these employees
The Chief Minister has announced a 16% increase in dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners receiving salary and pension in the 5th pay scale. 427% DA will now increase to 443%. Employees will now get the benefit of higher salary.
These important decisions taken for employees
The government has approved the notional salary increments estimable for calculating the retirement benefits of employees retiring on 30 June / 31 December. The government has also taken a big decision for septic tank cleaning workers. A compensation of Rs 30 lakh will be given to these employees in case of death during cleaning. The state government will give a compensation of Rs 30 lakh in case of disability.
