This facility provides National Security Depository Limited (NSDL). The Income Tax Department of the country issues an alphanumeric identification card (PAN card) with 10 numbers. At the same time, NSDL takes responsibility for the work related to the application and process of PAN card. Let us tell you how you can update your PAN card from home.

>> You have to first visit the website of NSDL (onlineservices.nsdl.com).
>> After this, you have to click on ‘Changes or Correction in Existing PAN Data’ under ‘Application Type’.
>> Now some columns have been given in front of you, in which the information sought will have to be filled.
>> After filling the details a new page will open.
>> Token number will also be generated, which will also be sent to the e-mail address filled during the application.
>> Now next you have to click on the option of ‘Submit scanned images through e-sign’.
>> Now you have to fill the PAN card.
>> On the page, you will be given a place to fill a new address, in which the cardholder will have to tell the correct address.
After doing this process, here you have to tell whether the address you want to update is home or office. According to NSDL, it is mandatory for individuals and all applicants other than HUF i.e. Hindu Undivided Family to mention the office address as the address for communication. If you want to update any other address, then an additional sheet will have to be filled in with details to be attached to the form.
You have to give the certificate in
addition to this, you also have to give a certificate of new address. If according to NSDL, a change in any other address is demanded, then the applicant will have to provide proof of the same.

To my knowledge PAN card does not show address so where is the question of change of address …
I guess to mail the printout, one has to leave their room. In this world of digitization, why can’t the implementation be simplified through email messages to PAN office?
