Japan will release 1 million tons of waste water into the nuclear plant, the plan raised the world’s concern

This process is still several years to begin and it will take many decades to complete, but there has been debate from Japan to the whole world about this plan.

Tokyo: Japan is planning to release more than one million tonnes of polluted water into the sea from its affected Fukushima nuclear plant. The government of Japan gave its information on Monday. The plan has been announced when Japan’s neighboring countries and local fishermen communities are opposing it. However, this process is still several years to begin and it will take several decades to complete, but the debate has spread from Japan to the whole world about this plan.

The government of Japan says that it is safe to leave this water in the ocean because after processing the water, all the radioactive elements have been removed from it and the water will dilute. The scheme has also been supported by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He says that this is exactly the same as waste water of nuclear plants is disposed of anywhere in the world.

The Prime Minister of the country Yoshihide Suga said in the meeting of ministers that this process of water disposal cannot be ignored, the process of emptying the nuclear plant is going to last for decades. He said that the process of releasing water will be done only when the safety level of the water will be ensured.

Let us tell you that the Fukushima nuclear plant was affected in a dangerous way in the 2011 tsunami. Radiation started leaking from here and thousands of people had to be displaced. At present, about 1.25 million tonnes of water is stored in the tank of the plant. This includes water and rain and water from the ground to keep the plant cool. A pumping and filtration system, known as the ALPS or Advanced Liquid Processing System, filters out polluted water every day and removes most of the radioactive elements from it.
