New Delhi. If you also use the real time gross settlement (RTGS) services of the bank, then the latest alert of the Reserve Bank is for you. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has today informed by tweeting that the RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) service used to send more than two lakh rupees will not be available for 14 hours from midnight on Saturday 17 April. Customers can use this service only after 2 pm on 18 April. The central bank said that technical upgrades are being done to further improve the disaster recovery time of the RTGS system, hence the service will be unavailable for 14 hours.

To avoid inconvenience to the customers, the central bank has said that the popular National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) used for transactions up to Rs 2 lakh will continue to function as before. The Reserve Bank on Monday said that after the end of business on 17 April 2021, RTGS will be technically upgraded to improve the capacity of the RTGS system and further improve disaster recovery (disaster recovery) time. According to the statement, therefore RTGS service will not be available from 00:00 hrs (Saturday night) on 17 April 2021, till 18 April 14.00 hrs (till Sunday) the next day.
RBI said that member banks can inform their customers to plan their payment operations accordingly. The RTGS facility is available 24 hours from 14 December last year. With this, India is among the few countries where this facility works for 24 hours.
DBS Bank gave statement on server hack
DBS Bank said on Wednesday that there was no tampering of its system. There is no personal or sensitive information in the messages leaked by the hacker. DBS Bank has issued this statement in a statement. The bank’s explanation came after hackers leaked a sample of its transactional message. The message was allegedly taken from the system of the bank’s communications enterprises company, Root Mobile. The message contained some details related to DBS Bank.
