Dhanbad In view of the fatal strike of the second wave of Corona, Railways has announced to extend the facility of manual pass till 31 May. Railway Board Deputy Director Pay Commission Jaya Kumar has issued orders related to it to all zones. This decision of the Railway Board has brought great relief to the railway employees of the country including Dhanbad. Since the Corona period has started, the Railway Board has issued orders several times on the issue of pass-PTO. But the order related to online HRMS ie Human Resource Management System is getting stuck in Corona.
Human resource management system introduced
The railways had announced to make the pass-PTO facility available to employees online only in October last year. HRMS i.e. Human Resource Management System was introduced under the new facility. Under this system, it was decided to provide pass facility only online to the railway employees. This railway system has been started and the railway employees have joined the online pass facility on a large scale. For this, the employees have to go to the HRMS portal and fill their detailed details of themselves and their family. If everything is found right, the concerned employee gets the facility of online pass. But now there are technical flaws in this system. If there is any problem in giving information in the HRMS system, then the online pass is not issued. Sometimes even after everything is correct, online pass facility is not available due to net slowdown or other technical bottlenecks. In view of this, the railways have allowed the facility of manual-made passes to continue till 31 May.
Online facility for retired employees too
Manual pass being issued to retired employees also, the employees serving in the railway have started getting online pass facility. But retired employees have not been added online yet. The facility of manual pass is still available for them.
E-ticket booking is also easy
The online pass facility started for serving employees in the railways, black benefit employees are also getting the booking of e-tickets. Non-railway employees have to pay for second seating, sleeper and AC in service charge for booking e-tickets. Railway employees are exempted from service charge.
