The UP government is running the Tailoring Shop Scheme with a view to motivate the unemployed people to become self-employed during the lockdown. Under this, financial assistance of up to 20 thousand rupees is being given to scheduled castes and poor youth and women for sewing and embroidery. With this you can do self-employment from home.
In this scheme, 10 thousand rupees are given as grant, while the remaining ten thousand rupees are given as interest-free loan. Benefits of the scheme
Under the Tailoring Shop Scheme, a loan of ten thousand rupees will be provided to the beneficiary by the Finance Development Corporation. The good thing is that the beneficiary will not have to pay any kind of interest in it. At the same time, they will get enough time of three years to return the original amount of the loan. Applicants can repay the loan in installments if they wish.
Who will get the benefit of the scheme
Under the UP Tailoring Scheme, people who are beneficiaries of self-help groups formed under the Department of Social Welfare, Uttar Pradesh Family Benefit Scheme or National Rural Livelihood Mission, can get the benefit. Apart from this, the poor youth belonging to specially notified caste category will be included in this scheme.
