How can you take advance from your PF in the midst of Corona crisis? Learn the whole process

Like last time, this time also employees will be able to withdraw advance amount online easily and they will not need to return this advance. The amount he withdraws, that amount will be deducted from his PF balance.

what is the plan

Under the scheme, all employees having an account with EPFO ​​will be able to withdraw three months’ salary (Basic plus DA) or up to 75 percent of the balance in the account (whichever is less) in advance from their PF fund. If someone wants, he can also withdraw less than this limit.

For example, if the PF balance of an employee is Rs 1,00,000 and his salary (Basic plus DA) is Rs 20,000 per month, then he can withdraw PF advance up to Rs 60,000. To apply for PF Advance, an employee has to visit the EPF website or Unified Portal.

How to Apply for PF Advance

  • First of all log in to the member interface of Unified Portal (https://unifiedportalmem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface).
  • If this website is not opening directly, then you can also reach here by visiting EPFO ​​website (https://www.epfindia.gov.in/) by clicking on the link related to it. Click on the blue colored link Online Claims Member Account Transfer link in the top right side.
  • Then go to Online Services and click on Claim (Form-31,19,10C, 10D).
  • Enter the last 4 numbers of your bank account and verify.
  • Then click on “Proceed for Online Claim”.
  • Select PF Advance (Form 31).
  • Then select Outbreak of Pandemic (Covid-19).
  • Enter the amount you need and upload the scanned copy of your check of the bank account on which you want to draw money and which is linked to the PF account. Enter your address.
  • Then click on “Get Aadhaar OTP”.
  • Enter the OTP received on your mobile linked with Aadhaar.
  • Then the claim will be submitted.
  • From mobile, you can follow these steps by visiting Unified Portal or you can also file claim through UMANG App.
  • The PF balance includes the share of both the employee and the employer in which the interest earned on the contribution is also added. To take advantage of PF advance, the employee does not need to show any document or certificate to the EPFO.
