Name and age printed wrong in vaccination certificate, know here how correction will be done

Vaccination In India: Vaccine beneficiaries can now self-correct the mistakes made in their Covid-19 vaccination certificate on the Co-Win portal. The government has announced a new update.

New Delhi . Beneficiaries can now edit their name and other information on the website Cowin, created for Anti-Covid19 Vaccination in the country. If a mistake has been made in someone’s Vaccination Certificate, then it can be rectified only on the Cowin Portal. Through this new facility, mistakes related to name, date of birth and gender can be corrected. Vikas Sheel, Additional Secretary, Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday that users can make this correction through the Covin website.

A tweet on the official handle of the Aarogya Setu app said, ‘If any errors have been made in your name, date of birth and gender inadvertently in the Covin vaccination certificates, then you can correct them. Go to Covin’s website and tell your problem in this regard.’ Covid Vaccination Certificates help during travel and commuting to many other premises.

Let us tell you that if there is any mistake then how can it be rectified on the Covin portal-

Go to https://cowin.gov.in/.

Log in with the mobile number with which you had registered for vaccination.

Then click on Raise An Issue.

After this the option to change name, date of birth and gender will be available. Correction can be done by ticking any of the related options.

Earlier, the government had also allowed vaccinated people to voluntarily update their status on the Aarogya Setu app through a self-assessment process. People who have received a single dose of vaccine will see a blue tick on their home screen against the vaccination status and those who have taken both doses will see two blue ticks on the app after 14 days. Both these will be visible after verification of vaccination status from TickCovin portal.

The vaccination status can be updated through the mobile number used for registration on COVIN. A total of 23,90,58,360 doses of Covid-19 have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
