UP technical institutes should conduct online exams as per convenience CM

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given important guidelines to the officials regarding the conduct of examinations of technical educational institutions of the state.



Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a meeting with the officials on Sunday that technical educational institutions should conduct online examination as per their convenience. Earlier, Technical Education Secretary Alok Kumar, on Saturday announced that the final year examinations of engineering students of all technical universities and polytechnic institutes in the state would be conducted in the third week of July, while the examinations of students of other classes (1st, 2nd) would be held in the third week of July. and third year) will be held in the last week of July.

According to Hindustan report, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Vice Chancellor Professor Vinay Kumar Pathak said, “The university will implement the government order and it is getting ready to conduct online exams for all the students. We will definitely follow the government order.”

In the CM’s meeting with the officials, it was also decided that other higher educational institutions should declare the results by August 31 and start the new academic session by the second week of September. It was also suggested that students should be informed about the formula to promote them without conducting exams, an official said.

Online exam preparation

Secretary Technical Education, Alok Kumar had said, “Online examination will be conducted first for final year students and then for other batches.” When asked about the feasibility of the online exam in view of poor internet connectivity, as 90% of the students live in villages, Kumar said, “You will not need much connectivity. We are finding it out. One of the solutions is that you can go to the nearest common service centre.”

In a meeting with officials on Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that after the cancellation of UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams due to COVID-19, no merit list will be declared. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting of Kovid management through virtual medium from the government residence. CM Yogi said that in relation to preparing the results of the High School and Intermediate examinations of the Board of Secondary Education (UP Board), the results of the examination should be prepared soon after deciding the guidelines.
