Weather Updates: Alert issued for these states including Delhi regarding heavy rain, know – latest update of IMD

Monsoon has knocked in most of the states of the country. Rarely does the monsoon reach the western Himalayan region before June 25. On Sunday 13th June, fast moving monsoon winds have reached the hilly areas of Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. This is the first time in 21 years that the monsoon has reached here before June 25.




According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rain may occur in many parts of Northwest India for the next 2 to 3 days. Thunderstorm and gusty winds are very likely to occur over Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and many parts of Uttar Pradesh as the monsoon advances. For this, IMD has issued an alert alert.

Director of Meteorological Department Manmohan Singh told news agency IANS that the southwest monsoon has reached all parts of Himachal Pradesh. Last year it had reached the state on June 24. He said that this monsoon is expected to arrive in some more parts of Northwest India by June 15 including the national capital Delhi.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) update on Sunday, conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of East Uttar Pradesh and parts of Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab during next 48 hours. are happening.

Due to the monsoon, many parts of Uttar Pradesh will receive heavy rains till Thursday morning. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rains are very likely over parts of Northwest India for two consecutive days i.e. on June 14 and 15.

This is the first time after 21 years that monsoon has reached Jammu and Kashmir along with Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has announced the arrival of monsoon in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, which is 17 to 18 days before the normal onset.
