REET 2021: Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra has announced that REET-2021 exam will now be conducted on 26 September. Earlier this exam was to be held on June 20, which was postponed.
New Delhi: The new date for the Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) 2021 exam has been announced in Rajasthan. REET-2021 exam will be held on 26 September 2021.Economically Backward Classes (EWS) candidates will be able to apply for REET 2021 from June 21 to July 05. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education will soon issue a revised notification for this. This announcement was made by Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara on Wednesday. Dotasara has given this information by tweeting. Earlier, the Rajasthan Board had officially announced the postponement of the REET exam on June 12. The board had said that the REET-2021 exam is being postponed due to the corona epidemic.
In the notification issued by the Rajasthan Board, it was said that the REET 2021 exam was earlier scheduled to be held on 25 April 2021. But it was postponed to June 20 to give an opportunity to the candidates of EWS category to apply. But then on 20th June also had to be postponed due to Corona epidemic.
REET exam certificate can be life time valid
Here, there is a possibility that like CTET and states like Bihar and UP, the certificate of REET-2021 can be made valid for life in Rajasthan too. The education department has started deliberations on the issue. At present, the validity of the certificate of REET exam is up to three years. However, before 2015, its validity used to be seven years. Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara held a four-hour long meeting with officials at the Secretariat last week regarding pending recruitments.
After the meeting, he had told that the issue of Reet examination was also discussed in it. He had said that the instructions of NCTE to make the validity life time of Teacher Eligibility Test are being analysed. However, till that time the letter of NCTE was not received. He had said that after receiving the letter, all aspects would be considered.
