Features of Ghar Ghar Ration Program
>> Under this program, ration kits will be supplied to 50,000 low-income customers whose livelihood has been affected by the corona virus epidemic.
>> There will be one month’s ration in the ration kit. This includes 10 kg rice/flour, 2 kg pulses, 1 kg sugar and salt, 1 kg cooking oil, 5 packets of spices, tea and biscuits and other essentials required for a small family.
>> In rural areas, ration kits are distributed by the bank employees themselves. Employees in the urban area are providing pre-paid cards worth Rs 1,800 to the affected customers, which can be used to purchase essential items.
>> Under the pilot programme, the employees have already successfully distributed 1000 ration kits in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Haryana.
>> The employees of the bank contributed one day to one month’s salary for this purpose.
