SP leader Ummed Pahalwan, accused of giving a communal color on social media to a case related to the beating of a Muslim elder in Loni, Ghaziabad, UP, has been arrested on Friday. According to the information received, Umaid was absconding since the FIR was registered in the case and he has been caught from LNJP on Friday morning. Umaid had done a Facebook live with the victim elderly, in which an attempt was made to give a religious color to the matter related to mutual enmity.
Umaid did this Facebook live on June 7, which was becoming quite viral on social media. However, when the police investigated the matter, it turned out to be a case of mutual enmity between two families related to making this amulet. On the other hand, Umaid says that he is being implicated by registering a fake case. Umaid had come live on a TV channel two days ago and said that I am not hiding anywhere, a fake case has been registered against me. Umaid claims that he did that Facebook Live with the intention of helping an elderly person. Umaid told that I only went to the police station with the elderly and got a complaint done, but a case was registered against me in a fake way. When the police did not take any action, I had to come on Facebook Live.

Regarding this matter, the police say that social media has wrongly given it a communal color. So far, the police have registered a case against many people including Twitter in this matter. According to the Ghaziabad police, on June 5, after a dispute over the talisman, Muslim elder Abdul Samad was beaten up and his beard was cut.
An FIR was registered in the matter on June 7. After this, local SP leader Umaid Pehalwan did a Facebook live about Abdus Samad and allegedly made a frenzied speech, raising the possibility of a breach of peace in the area. In the case, the police have arrested many people including Pravesh Gurjar, Arif, Adil, Mushahid, the main accused in the assault on the Muslim elder. However, Pravesh Gurjar has got bail.
