Aadhar Card has become the ‘Aadhaar’ of our lives at this time. Without this card, it is not possible to do any government or private work. Whether it is any work related to a bank or to get the child admitted in school. Today Aadhaar has become necessary everywhere. Let us inform that in today’s date it is not only necessary to make Aadhar card, it is also very important to update the correct information in it. So if any details related to name, address, date of birth or gender in your Aadhar card are wrong, then get it corrected as soon as possible. UIDAI, the issuing body of Aadhaar, has made this process easier than ever. Now you can change or correct name, address and date of birth in Aadhaar from the comfort of your home, just from your phone or laptop. So let’s know the process:
Change name in Aadhaar Card like this
- First go to ssup.uidai.gov.in.
- Here you will see the option of Proceed then Update Aadhaar, click on it.
- After this you will have a page open, here you will have to log-in with your 12 digit aadhaar number.
- After that fill the captcha given on the screen and click on Send OTP, after which OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- After entering the OTP, a new page will open in front of you in the next steps, in which you will have to enter your personal details, such as your address, date of birth, name and gender, and many other information. Here you will get the option to update from name to address and email address.
- Now if you want to change the name, then click on Name.
- Keep in mind that you must have an ID proof to update the name. One can use PAN card, DL, Voter ID, or Ration card as ID proof.
- After giving all the details a verification OTP will come on your number and verify it and save the change.
How to change date of birth in Aadhaar
- Go to Self Service Update Portal of Aadhaar.
- Now select the option of ‘Proceed to update Aadhaar’ present in the portal of Aadhar card.
- Enter your 12 digit Aadhar Card Number and Verify the Captcha Code.
- Click on Send OTP option, which will then be sent to your mobile phone.
- Enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number in the portal and click on login.
- Select Date of Birth. After that make the changes you want to make and update the information.
Update address in Aadhaar like this
- For this, first you have to go to the official website of UIDAI, uidai.gov.in.
- After this you have to go to the My Aadhaar section on the homepage.
- Here you will see the Update Your Aadhaar column, in which you have to click on Update Demographics Data Online.
- After this you will have Self Service Update Portal (SSUP) open.
- Here you have to click on the Proceed to Update Aadhaar option.
- After this you have to login through 12 digit aadhaar number. Now a link will be received on your registered mobile number through SMS.
- Verify by entering OTP and captcha. After entering the OTP, a new page will open in front of you where you will get two options, you will have to click on Update Demographics Data.
- After this you have to click on the address option, below you will see that you have to submit the scanned copy of the valid document. After that click on Proceed.
- After this you will see your old address and have to fill some personal information below and also upload valid documents. After this you can also see by preview.
- Now note down the ‘Update Request Number’ (URN) that appears on the screen. With the help of which you can check the status on the UIDAI website.
