In response to a tweet, UIDAI has said that the name of father or husband can be updated in the C / O section of Aadhaar. C/O comes under your address in Aadhaar. That is, the name of the father or husband can be updated through the update in the address of the Aadhar card.
How can I update?
UIDAI has said that you can go to any nearest Aadhaar center to update the address in Aadhaar. There you can submit the form which was earlier by filling the address along with the name of the father or husband. If you have any other address then you will have to provide address proof for it. On the other hand, if your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar, then you can do it from the online website (https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/). Keep in mind here that for every updation request on SSUP, a fee of Rs 50 will have to be paid.
