Here is a guide on how to track the status of your PMAY application, online and offline
To meet its ‘Housing for All by 2022’ objective, the prime minister Narendra Modi-led government at the centre launched its flagship programme, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), in 2015. Under the PMAY’s credit-linked subsidy scheme (CLSS), the government offers financial support to home buyers in India, by offering home loans at comparatively lower rates, provided they meet certain terms and conditions with respect to the property value and their annual income.
After following a thorough process, the agencies responsible for the approval may approve or reject your application. This is a time-consuming process. However, once your application to get the benefits under the PMAY is submitted, you will be able to track the status of your application, using various ways.
How to track Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana status online
You can check the status of your PMAY application online by logging on to the official website, https://pmaymis.gov.in/default.aspx. Here is a step-wise guide on what to do next.
- Select the ‘Citizen Assessment’ option on the top of the home page.
- From the various options that appear on the screen, select the ‘Track Your Assessment Status’ option at the bottom of the menu.
- From here on, there are two ways to track your PMAY application status.
You can check your PMAY status online using your assessment ID or using your registered mobile number.
PMAY subsidy status online using name and mobile number
Select the ‘By name, father’s name and ID type’ option.
Following this, you will have to provide details like your state, city, district, father’s name, ID type (Aadhaar or driving licence, passport, etc.). You will now have to enter the details of the ID type you have selected along with your registered mobile number.
PMAY status check online using assessment ID
Those who want to check their PMAY application status, can also do so by entering the assessment ID and registered mobile number.
PMAY application status online using Aadhaar
You can also check your PMAY application status by using your Aadhaar number. For this go to the official site and click on the ‘Search Beneficiary’ option from the main menu. When you select the option, ‘Search by the name’, you will be asked to enter your Aadhaar number.
After entering your Aadhaar number, you will be able to view the details and status of your PMAY application.
How to check PMAY status via toll-free number
Applicants can also contact the National Housing Bank (NHB) and the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) on toll-free numbers for CLSS-related queries.
