On Ranatunga’s remark, Suryakumar Yadav of the Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian cricket team said that the players are not thinking about his statement. Instead we are all focused on the upcoming series which is going to be very interesting. Team India will play ODI and T20 series on the upcoming Sri Lanka tour.
Ranatunga had said in his statement that the BCCI decided to send the B team for the Sri Lanka tour. Team India on tour does not have players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah. In such a situation, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board is insulting itself by hosting them.
When Suryakumar Yadav was asked about this during the press conference, he said, we do not talk about his statement, every player in the team is completely concentrated, our training session is going on, as the match was played yesterday, We are not paying attention to Ranatunga’s statement of B team, we are here to have some fun and enjoy this series. Due to travel restrictions and quarantine rules, the BCCI decided to send two teams to play against England and Sri Lanka. All the players playing regular Tests for India are in England these days for the five-Test series.
