Ranatunga told India ‘B’ team, Suryakumar stopped speaking by saying this

Former captain Arjun Ranatunga, who won the World Cup to Sri Lanka in the year 1996, called Team India on the tour as B team. On Ranatunga’s remark, Suryakumar Yadav of the Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian cricket team said that the players are not thinking about his statement. Instead we are all focused on the upcoming series which is going to be very interesting. Team India will play ODI and T20 series on the upcoming Sri Lanka tour.

Ranatunga had said in his statement that the BCCI decided to send the B team for the Sri Lanka tour. Team India on tour does not have players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah. In such a situation, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board is insulting itself by hosting them.

When Suryakumar Yadav was asked about this during the press conference, he said, we do not talk about his statement, every player in the team is completely concentrated, our training session is going on, as the match was played yesterday, We are not paying attention to Ranatunga’s statement of B team, we are here to have some fun and enjoy this series. There’s a lot of positivity here.

Due to travel restrictions and quarantine rules, the BCCI decided to send two teams to play against England and Sri Lanka. All the players playing regular Tests for India are in England these days for the five-Test series. At the same time, Shikhar Dhawan has been sent to Sri Lanka along with coach Dravid as the captain to play the limited overs series.

Team India, who arrived on the Sri Lankan tour, will play the same series of T20 International matches after playing three ODIs during this period. This will be India’s last T20 International series before the T20 World Cup to be played in October-November.

During the press conference, Suryakumar further said, we have played in conditions like Sri Lanka before, for example we have played in Mumbai, Chennai where there is a lot of humidity. We have come here 15-20 days before the tournament, it is good for us, we played here yesterday also, the wicket is good here, we hope it will remain like this. If it is slow we will take time. All matches of the ODI and T20 series between India and England will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
