Although Netflix keeps on giving recommendations of its best movies and shows from time to time, but it is also no less than a sea where there are thousands of movies, so even after that it is difficult to decide which one to watch. So if you are in the same situation, then there is no need to worry too much. That’s because there’s a bunch of secret codes that Netflix probably never told you about, all meant to open doors to the world of Netflix movies and TV shows. The question is, how do these codes even work? Here’s what you need to do, and keep in mind, before embarking on the even richer world of Netflix bingeing.
Step 1: First things first, you can use it only on certain tools like web browser or Netflix app. This means that for the web browser, you will need a PC or an Apple iPad or macOS computing device, for example, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Vivaldi and Apple Safari with the web browser. After which go to the website called Netflix-codes.com and you will see a very long list here, Action & Adventure, Classic Movies, Comedy, Drama, Horror Movies, Romantic Movies, Sports Movies, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, TV Shows, Child TV shows, independent movies and more. Example of sub category is that within the larger category of comedy, you see options including horror comedy, dark comedy, political comedy, late night comedy etc.
Step 2: Select your desired code from this list. For example, let us choose Action Movie. Whose code is 1365. Now, there are tons of ways to get to where you want to be—and that’s a long list of movies you want to see. Now on to step 3, but there are three ways to do this.
• If you’re using the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser, you can download an extension called “Browse Better for Netflix”. It will be listed in the extension store of any browser. Google Chrome > Chrome Web Store > Search Extensions > Add to Chrome > Add Extensions > Login to your Netflix account.
• You can also manually punch the code in your web browser. Go to Netflix-codes.com from any web browser > Select Journal or Subjournal Code > Type http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/GENRECODE in the bar. You will be taken directly to the Journal or Subjournal page with all relevant movie and TV show listings.
Do This from phone
If you visit Netflix-codes.com from a mobile web browser such as your Android phone, Apple iPhone, or Apple iPad, and you have the Netflix app installed and signed in to that device, you can also open it directly. Select Genre on Netflix-codes.com > Tap on Codes > Netflix App Load with Genre or Subgenre page.
With either of these methods, you will also be able to add these movies to your watchlist to come back to them later. However, these codes do not work on the Netflix app for smart TV platforms including Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Sony PlayStation or Microsoft Xbox.
