If you have an account with these banks you must know about IFSC codes. No means to be embarrassed. Customers of the respective banks need to know the new IFSC codes as the IFSC codes of the merged banks will not work.

Note that old IFSC codes of Syndicate Bank, Allahabad Bank, Dena Bank, United Bank of India, Vijaya Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank will not work.
However, Syndicate Bank in Canara Bank, Allahabad Bank in Indian Bank, Vijaya Bank in Bank of Baroda, Dena Bank in Punjab National Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India have merged.
Similarly, Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank merged into Union Bank of India. From whom the payments will come, they will be given new IPS codes as well as the list of beneficiaries will need to be updated after learning the new IFSC codes.
