Vodafone Idea or Vi has just warned all the customers about the scam. In this scam scammers ask Vodafone Idea or Vi customers to update KYC details. The company has said that scammers are trying to entice Vi customers into scams by making fraudulent calls or sending SMS.
Not only Vodafone Idea but recently Bharti Airtel also issued an alert regarding this. It has been said in the alert that in the name of updating KYC details, people are being made victims of scams. It has been said in this that many customers of Vi are getting SMS or calls from unknown numbers.

In this, they are asked to update KYC immediately . Failure to do so is said to block the SIM. Reliance Jio is also issuing such alerts but nothing specific has been said about it.
The way these scammers work is old. In this scammers call you. They ask you to update KYC details. In this they say that your information is not completely updated, if they do not update it then the SIM will be blocked.
After this they ask you to share some important details on phone or email. Most of the customers get caught in the trap of these scammers and then they have to suffer a lot. Vi said that these scammers call people by telling themselves on behalf of the company.
Vi has also said that customers should not click on any unknown link. It can steal their data and information. Any conversation with customers is done through SMS ID ‘ViCARE’ only. If you get a message from any ID other than this, then do not fall for it.
