Honda has launched its new electric scooter U-GO. Produced at the Wuyang-Honda unit of China, this scooter has been launched in two variants. In which batteries of different power have been given. Its starting price in China has been kept at CNY 7,499 (about Rs 85,342). The standard 1.2kW rating of the scooter is priced at CNY 7,999 (approximately Rs 91,501). Its price in the Chinese market is much lower than other e-scooters. U-GO’s low-speed model operates an 800-watt continuous hub motor, supporting a maximum power of 1.2 kW. Its top speed is 43 kmph. Its standard model will come with 1.2 kW continuous rated hub motor. This motor can deliver a maximum power of 1.8 kW. The top speed of this version is 53 kmph. Both the models will come with 48V and 30Ah removable lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 1.44 kWh. The scooter has an LCD screen, which gives information like speed, distance, charge and riding mode. Its front apron is provided with LED headlights with triple beam.
