Where will the banks be closed in August?
Banks in Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on August 20 on account of Onam. There will be a bank holiday in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on August 21 on the occasion of Thiruvonam and on August 23 on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti. Banks will not work on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami on 30th August. Banks will remain closed on this day in Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla and Srinagar.
