Indian Railways Start Monthly pass Service for Passengers in these Trains all details here

Railway Monthly Pass: 33 trains of Delhi Railway Division, five of Lucknow Railway Division, 10 trains of Ferozepur Railway Division, four trains of Ambala Railway Division as well as many other trains can be traveled with the help of Monthly Pass.

Railway Monthly Pass IRCTC Ticket: There is good news for lakhs of railway passengers. Railway has again started monthly season ticket service for daily passengers i.e. people traveling daily. In fact, along with all the concessional facilities during the Corona period, the Railways had also stopped the monthly pass facility. Monthly pass facility ie MST, which has been postponed for the last one and a half years, has now been resumed.

Let us tell you that in all the trains being run by the railways, it is necessary to take tickets in advance. In the name of booking and other charges, more money is being charged for the ticket. In such a situation, daily passengers were facing problems. The reason is that such passengers used to travel in trains at concessional rates through MST i.e. Monthly Season Tickets. But due to the suspension of this service, they had to spend more money. Now starting this service will be a big relief for such up-downers.

Northern Railway issued circular

told you about this in July itself that a proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Railways and soon this service will start. In view of the Corona epidemic, the Indian Railways had banned the sale, validity and service of monthly season tickets, but this service has been started from September 3. This will benefit lakhs of passengers who travel by train daily on the same route. They will now be able to travel at a very nominal rate with the help of monthly season tickets.

Now the facility will be available in select trains

Railways has started this facility, but it will be applicable only for selected trains running in Northern Railway. According to the circular issued by the Northern Railway, daily passengers will be able to travel only in 56 trains with the help of this monthly pass. Northern Railway has also issued a list of 56 trains in the circular in which this facility will be available.

Service in 56 trains including 33 of Delhi Division

The trains for which the Railways have started this service include Passenger, EMU, DMU, MEMU trains and Express trains. According to the circular, 33 trains of Delhi Railway Division, five of Lucknow Railway Division, 10 trains of Ferozepur Railway Division, four trains of Ambala Railway Division as well as many other trains can travel with the help of monthly pass.

No change in prices

The good thing is that there has been no change in the prices of monthly season tickets and they will remain the same as before. An official of Northern Railway has clarified about starting the service of monthly season ticket that starting from September 3, this service will be valid only in the trains identified by Northern Railway.

What is Monthly Seasonal Ticket?

Seasonal tickets are issued by the Railways to different classes of passengers (children, students, common people) at concessional rates. These tickets are issued for a period of one month, three months etc. for both suburban and non-suburban sections. The fare for the second class monthly season ticket is equal to the fare for 15 single journeys of the second class (ordinary) uniform for all distances.

At the same time, the first class monthly season ticket fare is four times the uniform second class fare for all distances. Season ticket fare for children is half the season ticket fare for adults. A passenger is issued only one season ticket for travel between his place of residence or his place of study and work. At the same time, action is taken for violating the distance limit, considering it illegal.
