Under the PM Kisan scheme, about 12 crore farmers are being given the help of six thousand rupees every year. There is often confusion about which farmers are eligible for this scheme.
The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the PM Kisan scheme with the aim of increasing the income of farmers in the country. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the eligible farmers are given the help of six thousand rupees in a year. This help is sent directly to the account of the farmer in three installments of two thousand rupees each.
This scheme is of great work for all the needy farmers. This is the reason that at present about 12 crore farmers across the country are taking advantage of it. However, people still lack information about who is eligible and who is not. Like it is often asked that farmers who file Income Tax Return (ITR) can not get the benefit of this scheme.
Let us first know who are not eligible for PM Kisan scheme.
Farmers whose family members belong to one or more of the following categories cannot get the benefit of this scheme:
- Have held any constitutional post now or in the past.
- Former or present Minister, Minister of State, Member of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha, MLA or MLC in a State, Mayor of a Municipal Corporation, Chairman of a District Panchayat.
- Any government job except Multi Tasking Staff, Class IV and Group D employees.
- More than 10 thousand pensioners.
- Income tax payers in the previous assessment year.
- Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, CAs, Architects etc (registered with professional bodies)
Apart from these, the farmers who have institutional land are also not eligible for the benefit of PM Kisan. All farmers except these categories are eligible for the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana, whether they file ITR or not.
It is noteworthy that under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, 1.60 lakh crore rupees have been given to the farmers so far. Out of this, one lakh crore rupees have been given to the farmers during the Corona period.
Not getting PM Kisan’s installment, then rectify these mistakes
However, some farmers are not getting the installment even after applying. Such farmers need to check some things. For example, the farmer’s name must be in English. The farmers whose name is written in the application in Hindi, they need to make changes. There should be no difference between the name of the applicant and the name entered in the bank account. Apart from this, it is also necessary to reconcile the bank account, village name, IFSC code. Instances can also stop due to mistakes in these.
