Big update on monthly basic salary of central employees, government said this

New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission Latest News Today: The employees and pensioners who have been waiting for a long time (Central Govt Employees and Pensioners) have started getting their increased Dearness Allowance. Central employees have been disappointed on one front. Actually, the government has refused to consider increasing the monthly basic salary of central employees. That is, now there will be no increase in the monthly basic salary of the employees.

No idea to increase Basic Pay

Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said in a written reply to a question that the central government is not considering any such scheme. He also said that the fitment factor of 2.57 was implemented uniformly for all categories of employees only for the purpose of fixation of pay in the revised pay structure based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

The question was asked to the Minister of State for Finance whether the Central Government is now actively considering increasing the monthly basic pay of the employees after the restoration of dearness allowance and dearness relief as per the fitment factor on the basis of the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.

Now DA will be 31%

Let us tell you that earlier the central employees were getting 17% DA. From July 1, 2021, it has been increased to 28%. DA was increased by 4 percent in January 2020, then by 3 percent in June 2020 and by 4 percent in January 2021. Now these three installments have to be paid. But, the employees are still waiting for the dearness allowance data for June 2021.

This data may be released soon. According to the data of AICPI, there is going to be a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance in June 2021 under the 7th Pay Commission. If this happens, then the total DA will increase to 31 percent. 31% will be paid with the salary of September.

HRA also increased along with DA

Not only this, along with increasing the dearness allowance, the government has also ordered to increase the House Rent Allowance (HRA) of central employees. Let us tell you that according to the rules, HRA has been increased because, dearness allowance has exceeded 25%. Therefore, the central government has also increased the house rent allowance to 27%.

In fact, the Department of Expenditure had issued an order on 7 July 2017 in which it was said that when dearness allowance will exceed 25%. So the house HRA will be revised. Since July 1, the Dearness Allowance has increased to 28%, so it is necessary to revise the HRA as well.
