Shares of Tata Group’s company Titan rose 9.46 per cent to a record level of Rs 2,349.80 in early trade on BSE on Thursday. Due to this the market cap of the company has crossed Rs 2 lakh crore. Titan is the second Tata group company to achieve this milestone.
New Delhi: Veteran investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, popularly known as Big Bull, today earned Rs 850 crore from his favorite stock Titan in just 10 minutes. Shares of this Tata Group company rose 9.46 per cent to a record level of Rs 2,349.80 in early trade on Thursday on the BSE. Due to this the market cap of the company has crossed Rs 2 lakh crore. Titan is the second Tata Group company to achieve this milestone.
Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and his wife Rakesh Jhunjhunwala hold 4.81 per cent stake in Titan and the jump in the company’s shares increased the value of their stake by Rs 854 crore. During the business, the company’s market cap reached above Rs 2,08,350 crore. At this value, the value of the Jhunjhunwala couple’s stake is more than Rs 10,000 crore.
Market cap crosses 2 lakh crore
Titan is the second Tata Group company to achieve this milestone. Earlier TCS has achieved this feat. TCS is currently the second most valuable company in the country with a market cap of Rs 1,431,754.82 crore. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries is at number one with a market cap of Rs 1,657,776.36 crore. According to Titan’s business update in the September quarter, its performance in more segments has reached pre-Covid levels.
