Prime Ministers Suraksha Bima Yojana: For people working in the unorganized sector, life insurance of two lakh rupees and health insurance of five lakh rupees is being given free of cost by the central and state government. For this, they can register for free by visiting the e-shram portal. The number of people working in the unorganized sector in the district is in lakhs. A national database is also being prepared through CSCs to provide social security to such people.
Understand the plan in this way
Under this scheme, under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, if a person dies in an accident or a condition of disability is created, then financial assistance of two lakh rupees will be given. Along with this, health insurance of up to five lakhs will also be available. According to Rajiv Kumar Singh, Deputy Labor Commissioner, Meerut, the age should be between 16 to 59 years for this scheme. Should not be a member of EPFO or ESIC. Should not be an income tax payer, should be working in the unorganized sector. People belonging to the unorganized sector can get a card made by registering in it with Aadhar number. In this scheme, workers of the unorganized sector with an income below Rs 15,000 can come.
It is only needed for registration
If any unorganized sector worker wants to register under this scheme, then he can get e-KYC done by using Aadhaar number. In which OTP, finger print, active mobile number will definitely be required. Providing certificates of education, income, occupation and skills is optional. A large number of people can take advantage of this scheme.
