Regular catering service in trains is closed due to Kovid
Due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, regular catering service was stopped in trains across the country for about 18 months. However, later the government had given permission for online food booking in trains. Due to the ban on regular catering service, online order for food in travel can also be done by visiting https://www.ecatering.irctc.co.in/ website for lakhs of passengers.
There is also an option to place group orders.
If you want, you can also place group order (food for 15 people) on IRCTC’s eCatering service portal. The cost of food is also reduced on such orders. For its booking, you have to enter your PNR number and place an online order with your preferred vendor. You can also pay online or do cash on delivery. Food is delivered to your seat.
