7th Pay Commission: Big news for employees, increase in salary by 20160, see calculation

New Delhi: Before Diwali, Central government employees have started getting the benefit of House Rent Allowance (HRA) along with 28% Dearness Allowance. (House Rent Allowance) has also been auto revised, due to which the salary of employees has increased by Rs 20160 during the festive season.




According to media reports, recently the Modi government at the Center has increased dearness allowance and dearness relief for central employees and pensioners by 28 percent, it is applicable from July 1, 2021. Due to this, 48.34 lakh employees and 65.26 lakh pensioners have started getting benefits. According to DoPT, revision in House Rent Allowance (HRA) has been done on the basis of dearness allowance. According to the category of the city, the HRA has been increased to 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent, so this increase is also applicable with DA from July 1, 2021 and all the employees have started getting the benefit of the increased HRA.

According to media reports, when the 7th Pay Commission was implemented, the HRA was reduced from 30, 20 and 10 per cent to 24, 18 and 9 per cent and made 3 categories X, Y and Z. During that time DA was reduced to zero, so in the notification of DoPT it was mentioned that when DA crosses the 25 percent mark, then HRA itself will be revised. , who will get 27% HRA. At the same time, it will be 18 percent in Y category cities and 9 percent in Z category.

The category of House Rent Allowance (HRA) is according to the X, Y and Z class cities, the central employees who fall in the X category now get more than Rs 5400 a month, Rs 3600 for the Y category and then 1800 for the Z category. You will get Rs.

According to the 7th Pay Matrix, the maximum basic salary of central employees is Rs 56,000 per month, then how much HRA will be made at the rate of 27 percent, it can be understood by simple calculation.

HRA = Rs 56000 x 27/100 = Rs 15120 per month

First HRA = Rs 56000 x 24/100 = Rs 13440 per month

In the maximum salary bracket, the employees have increased by Rs 1630 per month, so their salary has increased by Rs 20160 on an annual basis.
