UP Breking News: Yogi government in preparation to extend the free ration scheme till March 2022, an exercise to win hearts through packets of one kilo of pulses, oil and salt.

The Yogi government is also working on a plan to extend the existing central food distribution ‘PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana’ to provide free ration among the poor by March next year.




In view of the upcoming assembly elections, political parties are engaged in the exercise of winning the hearts of the people through free schemes and taking their votes. In this episode, the Yogi government of the state is contemplating to extend the free ration scheme till March next year. According to a report published in the Times of India, the Yogi government is also working on a plan to provide free ration among the poor by March next year, taking forward the existing central food distribution program ‘PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana’. Let us inform that this scheme was started during the Kovid period. As announced by PM Modi in the past, this scheme is to be run by November.

According to the report, during the meetings with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, party officials, various regional organizations and MLAs have praised this scheme of distribution of ration and suggested that it should be continued till March next year. Sources said that the Chief Minister did not immediately react to the feedback but after discussing it with his team directed to prepare a proposal.

CM Yogi has also asked his team to find out whether such a scheme can be implemented by the state government considering its economic side. Under the central government scheme, 3 kg of wheat and 2 kg of rice are given. The state government is planning to add 1 kg of pulses, 1 liter of oil and a packet of salt to it.
