MMVY 2021: Good News! MP government will bear the cost of education of students after 12th, know details

MMVY 2021: Students of Madhya Pradesh state get benefit under this scholarship scheme. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the scholarship portal.




New Delhi: Mukhyamantri Medhavi Chhatra Yojana 2021: Many scholarship schemes are run by the state government for the native students of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Medhavi Chhatra Yojana is also one of them. But the benefits of this scheme are many more than other schemes. If you have secured 75 per cent marks from MP Board and 85 per cent marks from CBSE/ICSE in class 12th examination, then the state government will bear the cost of your higher education.

What is the plan? (What is MMVY)

Many promising students of the state are unable to complete higher education after class 12th due to the financial condition of the family. To help such students, the Madhya Pradesh government started the Chief Minister Medhavi Chhatra Scheme (MMVY 2021). Under this scheme, if the students of the state get more than 75 percent marks in 12th and take admission in courses like medical, engineering and law, then the state government will bear the entire cost of their studies.

MMVY Eligibility

  • The student should have 75% marks in class 12th from MP board and 85% from CBSE/ICSE board.
  • The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed 6 lakhs.
  • Only the students domiciled in the state of Madhya Pradesh will get the benefit of the scheme.
  • The MP government will bear the cost of higher education of the students who fulfill these qualifications.

Scholarship will be available on admission in these institutes

Students who have passed the entrance exam for five years courses in institutes like IIM Indore, SPA Bhopal after fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications will also get benefits under this scheme. Students doing UG and PG courses from any higher education institution registered by the Government of India will also get the benefit of the scholarship scheme.

The government is also giving laptops

Under the MMVY scheme, laptops are also being given to the students of the state who have scored more than 75 percent marks in the 12th board. According to the data of the Education Department, about 66 thousand students have been given laptops so far.

Here are the major terms and conditions (MMVY Rules & Regulations)

  • Students taking admission in private or government medical colleges after passing the NEET exam will get the benefit of the scheme.
  • Students taking admission in a medical college will have to fill a bond of Rs 10 lakh with the government. Under which after completing your studies, you will have to work in a medical institution chosen by the government for five years.
  • Students taking admission in law college after passing CLAT exam will also get the benefit of this scheme. If you take admission in any law college in the country, you will be eligible for the scheme.
  • The MP government will also bear the cost of college fees of students who take admission in engineering colleges after clearing JEE Main exam. Students who have secured rank up to 1,50,000 in JEE Mains will get the benefit of this scheme.
  • You can take advantage of the scheme even after taking admission in polytechnic or other colleges after 12th.
  • Under the scheme in private engineering colleges, the fees up to 1.50 lakh will be borne by the state government. The actual fees for private and government medical colleges will be given by the state government.
