7th Pay Commission latest news: Diwali 2021 will be a bang for the central employees. In October, it has been announced to increase Dearness Allowance by 3 percent. Meaning, from October salary, they will get this dearness allowance (DA) at the rate of 31 percent. But, the special thing in this is that it has been implemented from July 1. Meaning, central employees will get money at the rate of 31 percent from July 2021 itself. He will be paid in full in the salary of October. Central employees will also get arrears for July, August, September (3 months).

Money will be credited in October salary

Central employees will be paid in full in the salary of October. Meaning they will get all the money before Diwali. The cabinet had last week approved to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) by 3 percent. With the increase in dearness allowance for July 2021, arrears will also be available. Central employees will also be paid arrears along with 31 percent DA.

How much money will come for 3 months arrears?

The basic salary of central employees ranges between Rs 18000 to Rs 56900. If the new Dearness Allowance of 31 percent is calculated on the maximum basic salary of Rs 56900, then the DA of Rs 17,639 per month is made. At the same time, the payment that has been made so far has been made at the rate of 28 percent to Rs 15,932 per month. Means the dearness allowance has increased by Rs 1,707 per month in the DA of the employees. On an annual basis, this increase will be Rs 20,484. 3 months arrears to be received in the month of October. In such a situation, if the calculation is done, then an employee will also get Rs 52,917 as arrears. On receiving the increased DA for the month of October, this amount DA will be Rs 70,556.

DA will increase this much on 18000 basic salary

If the arrears are calculated on the minimum basic salary of Rs 18000, then at present the employee is getting DA of Rs 5,030, which is according to 28 percent DA. Now if 3 percent more is added to it, then Rs 5,580 will be available. That means there will be an increase of Rs 540 in the salary of the employees. The money for arrears of 3 months will come to around Rs 1,620. Similarly, DA arrears will be calculated on the second salary breakup.

9,488.70 crore burden on the government exchequer

More than 47 lakh employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners will get benefit before Diwali. Due to dearness allowance and dearness relief to the employees, the expenditure on the exchequer will increase by Rs 9,488.70 crore every year. To reduce the effect of inflation in the country, the government gives dearness allowance to its employees. It is extended twice a year.
