Apart from main stream cinema, regional cinema in India has also shown a lot of growth. However, questions have been raised many times about showing vulgar content on Bhojpuri cinema. Recently, Shivika Dewan raised the same question and put a class of directors who want to serve pornographic content by making such films in the industry. The actress clearly said in her statement that she does not think that the audience is demanding such content.
Bhojpuri films are not given respect!
Shivika started her career in the year 2017 through the film ‘Challenge’. She has worked in films in many different languages till now. Talking about Bhojpuri cinema in an interaction with E-Times, Shivika said, ‘Why Bhojpuri cinema is still not respected.’
Pornography is sold because it is easy to sell?
He said, ‘This is a question from my side for all the producers of the industry. I don’t think any language demands obscene content. You’re selling it because it’s probably easier to sell. Not everyone in Bihar and UP likes such content. One has to go ahead and stop these things and bring about a change.
Such films should also be made in Bhojpuri cinema
As far as her own choice of films and upcoming projects are concerned, Shivika said that she would love to do films that can bring about a change. I want filmmakers to make content-oriented and commercial family films. Shivika said that she feels that now such films should be made in Bhojpuri cinema which can be remade in other languages.
